Strong use of a narrow room
Two facing cabinet runs keep storage and appliances close. A clear route through the middle is essential, especially when the kitchen links two parts of the home.
Balance tall and low units
Too many tall cabinets on both sides can feel enclosed. Grouping them on one run and keeping the other side lighter may help.
Protect worktop space
Place the sink and hob with usable landing space beside them. Small sections split by appliances are harder to use than one or two clear preparation areas.
